Billboard’s Philippines Songs charts were created in February 2022 as part of their Hits of the World category. Filipino artists have recently been breaking records on the charts, such as Juan Karlos breaking the all-time single-day stream record in the country and becoming the first-ever Filipino to break into Billboard’s Global Excl. US chart, debuting at the 138th spot. Adie and Janine Berdin’s collaboration, “Mahika” (Magic) has also become the longest-charting track in the chart’s history, with over 70 weeks on the charts. Berdin is also the first Filipina artist to ever top the charts.
