Cup of Joe are set to take a temporary hiatus following their upcoming two-night concert.
During an announcement at the Sandali Sessions: Ikaapat na Yugto on October 30, 2026, the five-piece act confirmed that the break would begin after Cup of Joe: Symphony, scheduled for December 3 and 4, 2026 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
According to vocalist Gian Bernardino, the decision comes as the members take time to rest and focus on themselves. He also reassured their fans, known as Joewahs, that the hiatus would not mark the band’s permanent disbandment. Instead, the group hopes to return “stronger” after the break.
While on hiatus, the members will also be taking the opportunity to pursue individual endeavors.
Bernardino, for instance, is exploring his acting career after being cast in the Filipino film adaptation of Pee Mak. He previously signed with Viva Artists Agency and Viva Films in June 2026, expanding his artistry through acting and film.
The announcement follows a successful year for the young band, continuing to earn international recognition, including at the Music Awards Japan 2026, and holding their major solo concert, SANDALI: The Cup of Joe Fest, at the Philippine Sports Stadium.
