Josh Cullen is officially back with new music.

On June 2, the SB19 member made his latest comeback with the bittersweet single entitled “Sumaya”. “‘Sumaya’ is about the heart-wrenching journey of accepting that it’s time to let go of someone and the memories you’ve shared,” stated the “WILD TONIGHT” hitmaker” in a press statement. “It’s a song that delves into the pain and sadness of moving on while still cherishing the good times you had together.”

The release of the emotional track, which tastefully blends elements of “R&B, trap, pop, and bedroom hip-hop”, was first announced by Josh on June 1. Alongside its release, an accompanying music video also premiered which you can watch here.

The new song comes as the latest in Josh’s series of singles, most recently following the release of “Yoko Na” which features rapper Al James. The rapper made his official solo debut last 2023 with his grandeur track, “WILD TONIGHT”. Josh performed a mashup of both the aforementioned tracks during SB19’s PAGTATAG! Finale Concerts last May.

Meanwhile, last May 29, Josh announced that he is set to be part of the 2024 Round Festival in Busan, South Korea this coming July 6-7. He joins the lineup alongside fellow Filipino singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo as well as K-pop group H1-KEY and more. At the same time, he is also set to hold his first-ever Singapore concert with Al James later this month.

As a whole, SB19 just wrapped up their PAGTATAG! era, which saw the release of an EP of the same name and the formation of the group’s very own company, 1Z Entertainment. Most recently, the P-pop act dropped a new single featuring Apl.de.Ap titled “Ready”, following the release of “Moonlight” which was made in collaboration with Terry Zhong and Ian Asher.
