Following Live Nation’s announcement that S.Coups will be sitting out of SEVENTEEN’s upcoming tour in Bulacan this January, PLEDIS Entertainment shared that fellow member Jeonghan will also not be participating in the show.
In a statement via Weverse, the label said that Jeonghan’s left ankle injury had significantly worsened over the course of their ongoing tour. On December 13, he was admitted to the hospital and underwent ankle surgery on the morning of December 14. While the surgery was successful, the company maintained that it was in the artist’s best interest to sit out of SEVENTEEN’s upcoming shows in Fukuoka, Bangkok, Bulacan, and Macao.
“We believed that it was in the artist’s best interest to prioritize his recovery and rehabilitation above all else at this time. Therefore, it will be difficult for JEONGHAN to participate in official activities for the time being,” read PLEDIS Entertainment’s statement.
Fellow SEVENTEEN member S.Coups is also recovering from a surgery on his left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), which was conducted last October. The surgery was also successful and the idol is undergoing rehabilitative procedures to fully recover from the injury.
SEVENTEEN will be performing at the Philippine Arena on January 13 to 14, 2024. Just yesterday (December 14), the Asia Artist Awards was held in the same venue, and the boy group went home with the award for Album of the Year for FML and Performance of the Year for SEVENTEEN’s sub-unit BSS.
