SB19 are closing out their PAGTATAG! world tourWorld TourA series of concerts held across multiple countries and continents, usually to support a new album or career milestone. On May 13, the Kings of P-popP-PopShort for Pilipino pop, a movement of Filipino idol groups and solo acts who combine pop music, choreography, and polished production for local and international audiences. P-pop has grown quickly,Go to P-Pop Glossary began officially began announcing the special guests who would be gracing the stage alongside them for their PAGTATAG! finale concert. The first wave of announcements included the vocal groups Fortenors and Vocalmyx. Both groups were mentored by SB19 member Stell on The Voice Generations, with the latter subsequently becoming the show’s inaugural champions. Revealed alongside them was acclaimed veteran composer Louie Ocampo.
On May 14, SB19 revealed the inclusion of the Filipino hip-hopHip-HopA cultural movement and music genre that began in the Bronx in the 1970s, built on rapping, DJing, beatmaking, and sampling. Hip-hop has a strong Filipino scene, with artists writingGo to Hip-Hop Glossary legend, Gloc-9. While on May 15, Filipino-American hip-hop hitmaker and Black Eyed Peas member Apl.de.Ap was also announced to be performing for the long-awaited closer for the P-pop group’s successful world tour.
The 2-day concert was sold-out in a matter of 4 hours, with the P-popP-PopShort for Pilipino pop, a movement of Filipino idol groups and solo acts who combine pop music, choreography, and polished production for local and international audiences. P-pop has grown quickly,Go to P-Pop Glossary icons proudly crediting their dedicated fans, the A’TIN, for achieving such a feat. “The power of A’TIN,” the group proclaimed. In other news, SB19 just had their comeback with the track MOONLIGHT, a collaboration with international producers and DJs Terry Zhong and Ian Asher. Most recently, they were also honored at the 14th and 15th PMPC Star Awards For Music, winning accolades such as Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Duo/Group Artist of the Year, and more.
