SB19 Conquer The Lollapalooza Stage In A Historic Performance
It was a proud moment for Filipinos everywhere as the Kings of P-pop delivered an impassioned and energetic set at one of the longest-running music festivals in the world.

SB19 just achieved another milestone — not only for themselves and their A’TIN — but for Filipino music as a whole, as the trailblazing P-pop group dominated the Lollapalooza stage, the first homegrown Filipino act to do so.
Their highly anticipated performance at the festival’s Allianz Stage at Grant Park in Chicago began at 3:30 PM on July 30 (4:30 AM on July 31, Philippine time), preceded by the British punk group Bad Nerves. The crowd cheered as the Kings of P-pop walked onstage before opening their set with a banging rendition of “DAM.” Keeping up the energy, they followed up with “GENTO.” It was this dynamic opening that properly earned the festival audience’s excitement and enthusiasm.
Taking a temporary break, the boys took the time to get to know the people while also introducing themselves to the Chicago audience. “We are SB19,” Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin proclaimed in unison. They then proceeded to debut their newest release, “LAWLESS,” live. Next, they performed “Emoji,” before entering another break, where, one by one, each member spoke intimately to the audience. Keeping the emotional tone, SB19 followed “MAPA” with another ballad, “Wakas.” Once again, the boys took the time to speak to the crowd before giving them a preview of their cover of Francis M‘s “Mga Kababayan,” which will be featured in the upcoming DreamWorks animated film, Forgotten Island. Resuming their typical energy, they proceeded to perform “VISA,” followed by the Simula At Wakas highlight “DUNGKA!” where Chicago Bulls mascot Benny the Bull joined the Kings of P-pop in the song’s breakdown. With the music not letting up, the boys capped their set off with the PAGTATAG! track “CRIMZONE.” It was an epic finale to their much-awaited performance.

2026 is shaping up to be SB19’s year, as the group continues to break more and more ground. On July 29, the Kings of P-pop became the first Filipino group to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball game, with Josh doing the honors. The day before that, they performed at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles. Moreover, their international lineup doesn’t stop here with Lollapalooza. As for future global festival appearances, SB19 are set to perform at Summer Sonic 2026 on August 14 in Osaka and August 15 in Tokyo, where they will be joining fellow Filipino acts BINI and ena mori.
