Veteran disco funk band Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas are set to celebrate their 11th anniversary as a band this November 11 at 123 Block in Mandaluyong City.

Titled Brassified, the show will feature a 20-piece band with a lineup of guest singers, including former Sugarfree frontman Ebe Dancel, Unique Salonga, Leanne & Naara, Kat Agarrado, and more. Singer-songwriter and live loop artist Zsaris will also be performing. Tickets are priced at P500 and can be purchased at the venue on the day of the concert.

Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas debuted in 2016 with the release of their first album, Greatest Hits, a collection of tracks themed around the Manila Sound genre. Greatest Hits was released on vinyl last year and is currently available at the museum shop of the Ayala Museum in Makati. They are regular performers at the annual Fete dela Musique festival, performing at the Blues, Soul, and Funk stage as well as the Baguio stage earlier this year.

The band is composed of drummer Wendell Garcia, guitarist Kakoy Legaspi, bassist Francis De Veyra, keyboardist Juni Sitaca, vocalist Mike Luis, and the brass players Ganza Panganiban on baritone saxophone, Joseph Cabanero on alto saxophone, Kaynne Castillo on tenor saxophone, trumpeters EJ Celestial, Marc Nicolas, and David Jorvina, and trombonist Isla Antinero.

In an interview with Inquirer, de Veyra shared that the band came together to create “a new kind of Manila Sound” out of their common love for original Filipino music. He went on to share that their music is inspired by iconic Manila Sound acts such as VST & Company, The Boyfriends, Rico J. Puno, and more.
