Pop rock band December Avenue are celebrating 15 years as a band with a concert this February 11, 2024 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The band first announced the show with a teaser on social media revealing the date and location. In a later post, the band shared that ticket details will be released soon. The concert is part of their year-long celebration for their 15th anniversary.
Last February, the band’s Langit Mong Bughaw (Your Blue Sky) album achieved the record for being the most streamed OPM album of all time, with over 720 million streams. In an Instagram post sharing the news, the band wrote, “What a way to feel your love on our 15th year as a band! Maraming maraming salamat sa lahat ng patuloy na nagsstream (Thank you so much to everyone who streamed it). We love you, and we hope to see you all this year and say thank you in person!”
Langit Mong Bughaw featured the band’s biggest hits, including “Bulong” (Whisper), “Kung Di Rin Lang Ikaw” (If It Wasn’t Just You) featuring Moira dela Torre, “Sa Ngalan Ng Pag-ibig” (In The Name Of Love), and “Huling Sandali” (The Last Moment), to name a few. All four songs have over a hundred million streams apiece, making December Avenue one of the most streamed Filipino artists today.
In other news, December Avenue recently released a collaboration with actress-singer Belle Mariano titled “Wala Nang Iba” (No Other Person). The track follows “Ilang Beses Kita Mamahalin?” (How Many Times Will I Love You?) and “Saksi Ang Langit” (Heaven’s Witness), the latter currently in the running for the Awit Award for Music Video of the Year.
