“Kisame” singer-songwriter Rhodessa officially opens season three of Billboard Philippines Volumes.
Season three of the official podcast of Billboard Philippines will tackle the best and funniest of backstage stories with your favorite artist. In this episode, Rhodessa talks about one of her most memorable interactions with a fan. “Yung pinakanakakatawa…Meron nagbigay sa’kin ng 1X1 picture niya (The funniest…is when someone gave me a 1×1 picture of themselves).”
“Para daw hindi ko siya makalimutan (They said that they did it so that I wouldn’t forget about them),” she relays with a laugh. Later in the episode, she also opens up about her rituals before every show and a lot more.
Rhodessa is currently one of the nominees for the Billboard Philippines Women in Music Listeners’ Choice Award for her breakout hit, “Kisame.” She joins fellow nominees Denise Julia, Mrld, Belle Mariano, Maymay Entrata and more. In an exclusive interview with Billboard Philippines, the singer-songwriter shared that “Kisame” was actually a fan tribute to Mina and Chaeyoung, members of the K-pop girl group TWICE. Written after reading a MiChaeng (the ship name for the two) fan fiction on Twitter, she also used an edited picture of the two members as the cover of the single itself. She also revealed that she is gearing up to release an album sometime this year.
