Singer-songwriter Janine Teñoso joins Billboard Philippines on this week’s episode of Soundwave, featuring the first-ever performance of her latest track, “Hulaan” (Guess).
The episode premiered on TikTok today (January 29) and follows Adie’s performance of “Closer You And I,” the official theme song of Closeup’s latest campaign. “Hulaan” was co-written by Alvin Serito of SunKissed Lola and was released on all streaming platforms last January 26. Teñoso premiered her first single under Viva in 2017, titled “Fall.”
Most recently, she collaborated with Baguio-based band Cup of Joe for the viral hit “Tingin” (Look). “Tingin” recently won the award for Wish Collaboration of the Year at the 9th Wish Awards, held last January 14. While Teñoso was not in attendance that night, the members of Cup of Joe gave her a shoutout, saying, “Janine! Nanalo tayo! (We won!)”
She will be performing alongside Arthur Nery, Adie, Rob Deniel, mrld, Rhodessa, and ALAMAT at Viva’s ILYSM Concert happening this February 13 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City. Tickets range from P400 for general admission to P4,200 for SVIP. Check out more details here.
