Dionela and Jay R have risen to the top of Billboard Philippines‘ Hot 100 chart this week with “sining.”

On the Billboard Philippines Hot 100, dated August 3, 2024, the heartfelt, viral collaboration single between the two R&B hitmakers has officially taken the No. 1 spot following its entry into the top 10 last week — the week of July 27 — at No. 5. Alongside “sining,” two other songs from Dionela have significantly ranked up from last week, with “Hoodie” featuring Alisson Shore moving from No. 78 to No. 51, while “Musika” has gone from No. 93 to No. 53 this week.

Notably, Dionela and Jay R’s achievement of reaching No. 1 is not limited to the Hot 100 alone as they have also managed to take the No. 1 spot this week on Billboard Philippines‘ Top Philippine Songs — the country’s music chart that solely focuses on Filipino songs, highlighting the most noteworthy and fast-rising acts and their songs from all across the Philippines. This feat officially ends the four-week streak of Maki’s “Dilaw” at No. 1, bringing it down to the second spot on both charts.

Before reaching this milestone, “sining” has seen a consistent, fast-paced rise through the charts in the past few weeks thanks to its increasing viral status online — a factor that was taken to even greater heights following the premiere of its accompanying music video last July 17, which notably stars BINI‘s Stacey.

For the rest of the Hot 100’s top 10, Maki takes the No. 2 spot with “Dilaw,” with “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” by Billie Eilish immediately following at No. 3. BINI’s “Salamin, Salamin,” “Pantropiko,” “Cherry On Top,” and “Karera” are at No. 4, No. 6, No. 7, and No. 10, respectively, making the P-pop girl group the artist with the most songs in the top 10.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” is at No. 5, while her other viral hit “Espresso” occupies the No. 9 spot. Lastly, moving up to the No. 8 spot this week is TJ Monterde with “Palagi.”

Billboard Philippines‘ Hot 100 chart tracks the most prominent and most popular songs in the Philippines from both local and international artists. It serves as one of Billboard Philippines’ official music charts, alongside the Top Philippine Songs chart. Updated every week, the Hot 100 ranks the top 100 tracks in the country using both audio and streaming data gathered and organized by the leading music and entertainment data provider, Luminate.
