SB19’s Josh Cullen just made his debut on the Grammys’ ‘Global Spin.’

Global Spin is described by the Grammy Awards — or the Grammys — as “a performance series featuring artists from around the world where the celebration of the global music community is the focus.” Initially launched on September 28, 2021, Global Spin serves to showcase different artists from all over the world, with each episode featuring “a performance from a notable artist or group” serving as a way to “celebrate both the creators and their home countries.”

On July 12, Josh Cullen of P-pop kings SB19 appeared for the first time on the prestigious online music show, performing his heartache-fueled track “Yoko Na.” This follows the appearance of fellow SB19 member Ken on the show back in 2022, who performed his single “Bulan” under his soloist moniker of Felip.

Josh’s performance sees the singer-rapper reimagining the track with a full band backing him up, showcasing the song alongside a variety of immersive visuals. The song, which features rapper Al James, was released last March 23, with a music video premiering on April 26. The two also held a special show together in Singapore last June 16.

In other news, Josh performed as part of the 2024 Round Festival in Busan, South Korea last July 6-7, where he shared the stage with the likes of fellow Filipino artist Zack Tabudlo and such K-pop stars as GOT7’s BamBam and H1-KEY. He also released his latest single “Sumaya” last June 2.

As a group, SB19 made their debut on the popular Japanese online music show The First Take last July 1, becoming the first Filipino act to ever do so with a performance of their hit “GENTO.” Meanwhile, SB19 are nominated for Favorite Asian Act for Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2024, with the voting period open until tomorrow, July 13.
