In an announcement made last August 21, the P-popP-PopShort for Pilipino pop, a movement of Filipino idol groups and solo acts who combine pop music, choreography, and polished production for local and international audiences. P-pop has grown quickly,Go to P-Pop Glossary Kings shared that they would release the long-awaited music video for “Kalakal,” their collaborative single with Filipino rap legend gloc-9.
The group performed the new single with Gloc-9 prior to its initial release at the Acer’s #AimLimitless concert in the Mall of Asia Arena last August 5.
The P-pop rap track is a fresh addition to their discography, introducing an entirely unique sound to their growing craft. Astounding both old and new listeners with their rap proficiency, SB19 is bringing back the furious sound of FlipTop-reminiscent Pinoy rap into the flourishing genre of P-pop. With blazing trap beats and fierce rhymes, the song is a war cry of the group’s determination and a demand for their place amongst the best of OPM.
