True to her stature, Sabrina Carpenter has named her forthcoming sixth studio album ‘Short n’ Sweet.’

Carpenter announced the news on her official social media platforms, revealing the album’s cover artwork together with its scheduled release date of August 28, 2024. “This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too,” she teases through the caption of her post.

Just a few hours prior to the release of its details, the multi-hitmaker dropped a cryptic teaser video of her walking towards the camera, planting a kiss on the camera lens before walking away from the frame. Fans were quick on the scene to speculate as to what the short clip may have been alluding to, with many theorizing if it were potentially a new single announcement or an album announcement.

The viral pop musician has been making waves as of late with her catchy, chart-topping single “Espresso” – which debuted just a few days prior to her Coachella debut earlier this April 2024. Dubbed as the song of the summer, the track has maintained a consistent hold across numerous global charts, peaking at the No. 4 Position on the Billboard Hot 100, hitting No. 1 on the UK Singles chart, and has spent over fourteen days at No. 1 on the Global Spotify chart.

The upcoming record will follow her fifth studio album, emails I can’t send, which included the viral hits “Nonsense” and “Feather” that have become recognized hits on their own. Prior to her time with Island Records, Carpenter was signed to Disney’s Hollywood Records and starred in the studio’s hit television series, Girl Meets World.
