Juan Karlos and Lukas Graham performed “ERE” during the Danish pop band’s concert in Manila last October 22 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
In a TikTok video posted by Lukas Graham last week, the band’s lead singer Lukas Forchhammer said, “If you’re down to teach me some of this, we can sing this song when I get to Manila.” In the caption of the video, which has over 8 million views as of October 23, Forchhammer wrote, “[L]et’s perform this one together too? Can’t wait!”
Singer Dia Mate eventually posted a recording of the two performing on stage, with Juan Karlos playing an acoustic version of the song while Forchhammer sang some sections of the song’s chorus while holding the lyrics in one hand. The two also sang a duet of Lukas Graham’s “Love Someone.”
Juan Karlos has been breaking a number of records with his hit, “ERE.” He is currently the first Filipino to break into the Spotify Global Charts and the fifth Filipino to ever take the number one spot on Billboard’s Philippines Songs charts.
Lukas Graham are a Danish pop band composed of lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Lukas Forchhammer, Magnus Larsson on bass, and Mark Falgren on drums. They gained international success for their song “7 Years,” which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The song was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2017 GRAMMYs.
