Kitchie Nadal, MONDO, and Diego Mapa have teamed-up for a new single.

On January 3, 2025, the three Filipino artists unveiled a collaborative track in the form of “A Thousand Voices,” released in two versions: an acoustic version as well as a full band version in the veins of New Order, Depeche Mode, and Nine Inch Nails. According to the press statement, the track is described as “an anthem that celebrates hope, resilience, and divine grace,” mixing together “heartfelt lyrics with soaring melodies” and thereby “creating a powerful message of hope amidst the darkness.”

Alongside the new single’s release, a music video made by Projekt Messiah also premiered, making use of AI technology in order to deliver “an immersive and cutting-edge viewing experience.” In addition, the three artists also promise more updates, behind-the-scenes content, and “more exciting news” about “A Thousand Voices.” Watch this space for updates.

Highly regarded as a Filipino alternative rock icon, Kitchie Nadal is a veteran singer-songwriter known for her music that brings together elements of rock and pop alongside emotive lyricism, resulting in timeless tracks that continue to captivate listeners of varying generations. This includes songs such as “Same Ground,” “Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin,” “Bulong !!!,” and more.

Formed in 2024, MONDO is a newly launched indie rock project by Mondo Castro of The Pin-Up Girls, with Castro serving as the band’s vocalist and guitarist. Joining him are fellow experienced musicians in the Philippine local indie music scene, namely, Drei Paman of Gaia & Andrei as lead guitarist, Dax Balmeo of Paranoid City as rhythm guitarist, Gaia Royeca of Gaia & Andrei on keyboards and backing vocals, Mico Marasigan of Jetcoaster as drummer, and Lui Rodriguez of Rubber Pool, Caren Tevanny, and Peso Movement as bassist. Their debut single “If I Tell You Why” was released last November 16, 2024.

A revered, multi-faceted veteran musician, Diego Mapa is best known for being the frontman of Pedicab, one-half of experimental electronic duo Tarsius and DJ duo The Diegos with Sandwich‘s Diego Castillo, and his solo project Eggboy.
