Valued for personal storytelling and authenticity, singer-songwriters form a major part of the Filipino musicGo to Singer-Songwriter Glossary Janine Berdin has come back with her latest single, “Ayos Lang,” which is a raw and open anecdote of the (unfortunately) relatable experience of being played by a significant other.
This marks the “Mahika” co-hitmaker’s first musical drop of the year, with her latest prior being “Pamamaalam” and “ALAS DOS NA!!!,” which were both released last year. In the same year, she had collaborated with her fellow chartbreaker, Arthur Nery, on an Attack on Titan-inspired track brought upon their mutual appreciation for anime, appropriately titled, “Mikasa.”
In a previous interview with Billboard Philippines conducted for her 2024 single, “SITWASYONSHIP,” Janine Berdin revealed, “I’m at this point in my life…I’m still figuring myself out, and I’m lucky I get to do that through music.”
