Filipino nu-metal icons Greyhoundz are celebrating the 2LP vinyl release of their debut album 7 Corners of Your Game with a gig this April.
On April 3, the heavy music veterans announced via their social media that they would be holding a special vinyl launch show for the 1999 full-length at Eastside Events Place, Marikina City, this April 13. They will be joined by metal-hardcore punk veterans Arcadia, groove metal act VIE, and hardcore-crossover band Badwave. Tickets will be available at the venue at PHP 400. A discounted price of PHP 200 can be availed by gig-goers if the vinyl was purchased.
The vinyl is officially distributed by Eikon Records Philippines. Back in December 1, 2023, they opened pre-orders for the record at discounted price of PHP 2,800 – announcing that only about 300 pressings will be made with some going to the band and to the indie label itself. By December 2, 2023, they announced that the record was selling fast, with already less than 200 pieces left. Last February 27, a first look of the album on vinyl was revealed.
Greyhoundz, composed of vocalist Reg Rubio, drummer TJ Brillantes, bassist Niño Avenido, and guitarist Audie Avenido, was formed in 1997. They are known for their signature brand of fusing together nu-metal and rap metal and their tracks “Mr. P.I.G.”, “Krus”, “Pigface”, and more.
