P-Pop boy group BGYO are celebrating their third anniversary with an intimate thanksgiving event for their fans.

In an Instagram post uploaded yesterday (January 11), the boys announced that the anniversary — titled BONFIR3 — will be filled with “music, memories, and fun.” The event is slated to happen on January 27 at the Teatrino Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan City. The event is free admission, with only 250 available slots for registration. Check here for more details on how to register.

The event was first teased last January 5, with the BGYO social media pages uploading various videos with the number 3 set on fire. While many fans speculated another comeback single, it was confirmed yesterday that it would instead be an anniversary event.

Composed of members Akira, Gelo, JL, Mikki, and Nate, the boy group made their debut with “The Light.” Since then, they have released a number of singles such as “Kulay,” the theme song for the 2021 Miss Universe Philippines competition, “Up!,” “Best Time,” and their most recent release, “Bulalakaw.”

In a teaser for one of the interviews promoting the single release, Mikki shared, “Alam ko ‘yung mararating ng grupo kaya hindi ko iniisip na ito na ‘yung katapusan ng BGYO [I know what the group can achieve, which is why I don’t think that this is the end of BGYO].”

Just recently, members JL and Akira concluded their run as actors in the Tabing Ilog: The Musical, which premiered at the PETA Theater Center last November 10. The musical is an adaptation of the 1997 teen drama with the same name. The original tv series featured Kaye Abad, Paolo Contis, John Lloyd Cruz, Desiree del Valle, Patrick Garcia, Baron Geisler, Paula Peralejo, and Jodi Sta. Maria.
