Beabadoobee is coming back with new music.

On May 9, the “Glue Song” hitmaker announced via her social media that she would be releasing her third album, entitled This Is How Tomorrow Moves soon. In an Instagram post, she proclaimed that it is her “most personal record”, “made with love” by her, producer Rick Rubin and Shangri-La Studios, and her band’s lead guitarist Jacob Budgen. In a press statement, she stated her love for the album, commenting, “I feel like it’s helped me so much more than anything else has in navigating this new era, this new understanding of where I’m at. I guess it’s about becoming a woman.”

Prior to this, she previously announced her comeback with the release of a new single “Take A Bite”, released earlier this May 9. “It’s me feeling introspective about my thoughts and unhealthy way of living. It’s finding comfort in a familiar place – finding comfort in chaos, because that’s what I know,” said the singer in the aforementioned press statement. “So I bring it into every aspect of my life, especially with relationships. And it’s just tapping into this part of my brain where I just jump straight to the most negative, most chaotic thought ever known to man and make and make that into my reality.” Watch the music video for it here.

The single is her first solo song since “the way things go” was released in July 2023. Before “Take A Bite”, she collaborated with the likes of Laufey for “A Night To Remember” as well as Jack Antonoff for “It’s Only A Paper Moon”, the latter being a part of the soundtrack for the Apple TV+ series The New Look.

This Is How Tomorrow Moves is set to be released this coming August 16. It will be the singer-songwriter’s fourth album overall and follows 2022’s Beatopia. In the same year, she held her first Manila concert in support of the album at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
