Beabadoobee is finally back.
The Filipino-British singer-songwriter shared the news via social media, where she revealed the track’s name, release date, and a snippet. “Take A Bite” is slated to be her first solo and standalone release since she dropped “the way things go” in July of last year. The track will premiere on May 9.
The announcement of the single comes after it was revealed that she will be playing at All Points East UK together with Mitski, TV Girl, Ethel Cain, Arlo Parks, Sir Chloe, and more. In a follow-up Instagram comment, she said, “[M]y album is gonna be out by then so [I’m] gonna [be] playing so much new music.”
No other news regarding her album has been announced yet. However, it will be her first full-length record release since 2022’s Beatopia, and her fourth album in her career thus far. In 2022, Beabadoobee performed in the Philippines for the first time at the New Frontier Theater as part of her Beatopia World Tour. Whether she will return back to the Philippines for the tour of her upcoming album has yet to be confirmed. Watch this space for more updates.
