Romantic hitmaker Adie is back with another sweet serenade.

Debuted live last October 15 at Billboard Philippines: Mainstage, Adie’s new track “Nobya” is out on streaming platforms now. During the event, he performed the then-unreleased song alongside a choir and quartet, warming the audience’s hearts with heartfelt lyricism paired with downbeat, sentimental acoustic instruments. Last night (October 24), the singer-songwriter commemorated the release of the single at Jess & Pat’s, Quezon City with an intimate gig.

In an exclusive interview with Billboard Philippines on why people should support Original Pinoy Music (OPM), Adie mentioned, “Tayong mga Filipino ay very emotional, when it comes to (these) things — ‘di ko na babanggitin kung ano ‘yon, pero in general, very emotional ang lahat ng Pinoy. And I think, isa sa saving grace and sanctuary na matatakbuhan ng mga Pinoy is music, hindi ba? (We Filipinos are very emotional, when it comes to these things — I won’t explain much, but in general, Filipinos are very emotional. And I think, one of the saving graces and sanctuaries Filipinos run to is music, right?)”

The same thought is reflected in the personal and affectionate “Nobya,” a comforting serenade that speaks of promises that’ll last a future.

This marks the artist’s third 2024 release following his two singles “Closer You and I” and “Oh, Giliw.”
