Billboard Philippines‘ debut cover stars and P-pop kings SB19 have made their arrival on the second episode of Billboard Philippines’ podcast show, Volumes.
The group, composed of members Pablo, Stell, Justin, Josh, and Ken, opened up on what they’ve learned along the course of their career, such as how they try to continually improve on their craft as artists.
“Since lima naman kami, lahat kami malalakas ng opinyon (Since we’re five people, and all of us have strong opinions), ang maganda doon (what’s nice) is we’re able to create something that’s purposive [and] by different minds,” shares Pablo. “Since it’s our story, [we] might as well collaborate.”
SB19 follow Ena Mori, who was the first artist to be featured on the show. She shared her musical inspirations and how she tries to push herself creatively. Season 1 of Volumes unpacks the life lessons learned by artists over the course of their music careers. New episodes of Volumes premiere every Wednesday.
Volumes is one out of the three programs offered under Billboard Philippines’ Media Channels. The other shows produced by the platform include Soundwave and Studios. Soundwave features the trending songs in today’s music scene, while Studios showcases reimagined versions of an artist’s biggest hits.
“[We] aim to help elevate local acts through various platforms. Aside from articles and features in the magazine, we also wanted to give these artists a platform to be heard. Many Filipino musicians are now gaining global recognition, and we want to create a space where you can discover and rediscover both established and up-and-coming artists. The Media Channels is that platform,” Executive Producer Paolo Valenciano shares.
