BINI are taking over the Top Philippine Songs Chart.
On this week’s chart, dated July 6, 2024, the P-pop girl group hold five spots in the top 10 with “Salamin Salamin,” “Pantropiko,” “Karera,” and “Lagi” occupying positions 2 to 5 — only losing out on No. 1 to Maki with his viral single “Dilaw.”
BINI’s track “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi” rounds out the list at No. 10. Across the entire chart, the girl group also holds the most positions (a total of six) on the chart with their song “Na Na Na” sitting just outside of the top 10 at No. 11.
BINI is one of the Philippines’ most popular acts right now, recently proving so with their three-day ‘BINIVerse’ concert last week. The shows initially sold out last April, prompting the girl group to hold another run of the concert at the Araneta Coliseum this October. This all comes on the heels of their EP, Talaawaran, which was released last March.
The Top Philippine Songs chart sees TJ Monterde’s “Palagi” at No. 6. The single was released in July 2023, but has seen a resurgence on the charts after the release of its music video and recent virality on social media.
The rest of the Top Philippine Songs chart’s top 10 sees multiple positions held by Filipino rap sensation Hev Abi. The young rapper holds on to positions 7 to 9 with his track “Walang Alam,” his collaboration with gins&melodies — “Babaero,” and his song with Flow G titled “Burgis,”
Billboard Philippines‘ Top Philippine Songs chart is the country’s all-Filipino music chart, naming the biggest local artists and songs making waves around the Philippines. Using streaming data (both audio and video) collected by data provider Luminate, the chart will rank the top 25 Filipino songs in the country.
The Top Philippine Songs is one of two charts presented by Billboard Philippines, alongside the Hot 100. Both charts are available for viewing starting July 3 and will be updated weekly every Wednesday.
