Charli XCX is making her feature film big screen debut as Rosa in 100 Nights of Hero, which released its teaser trailer ahead of the film’s premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival from August 27 to September 6, 2025.

Directed by Julia Jackman, the upcoming historical fantasy film is based on the 2016 sapphic graphic novel of the same name by Isabel Greenberg. It is then based on the collection of Middle Eastern folktales, One Thousand and One Nights.

Apart from Charli, the film’s star-studded cast also includes Emma Corrin, Nicholas Galitzine, Maika Monroe, Amir El-Masry, Richard E. Grant, and Felicity Jones. It follows Cherry (Monroe), who is trapped in a bet made by her neglectful husband, Jerome (El-Masry), as he gambles his castle and his wife to his friend, Manfred (Galitzine), who has 100 nights to seduce Cherry.

Meanwhile, Cherry is having a secret affair with her maid, Hero (Corrin), who is part of a secret league of storytellers. She comes up with a plan to distract Manfred by telling her tales every night.

The film will be one of the film projects Charli will star in this year. She is also set to star in the drama Erupcja and the adventure-comedy Sacrifice.
