In an exclusive report from Variety, it has been revealed that BLACKPINK member LISA is set to make her acting debut in the highly anticipated third season of HBO’s hit series, “The White Lotus.”

LISA will be credited under her given name, Lalisa Manobal, for her undisclosed role in the upcoming season. The K-pop star joins an already star-studded ensemble cast that includes a diverse lineup of talent, Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Tayme Thapthimthong, Christian Friedel, Julian Kostov, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Carrie Coon, Scott Glenn, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Natasha Rothwell, Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola.

As production gears up in scenic locations across Thailand including Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok this February, specific details about LISA’s role, like the rest of the cast, are being tightly guarded at the moment. However, the premise of the show remains the same as it explores a fresh cohort of guests navigating the intricacies of The White Lotus resort. The hit television series has been nominated for a total of 43 nominations at the Television Academy Awards and has won a total of 15 Emmys throughout its two-season run.

Notably, LISA follows in the footsteps of fellow BLACKPINK member JENNIE, who made her acting debut in the HBO drama The Idol, starring alongside The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp, and Troye Sivan last June 2023, credited as Jennie Ruby Jane. Both members also recently opened up their own record labels, with JENNIE’s venture OA (also known as Odd Atelier) having been established late in 2023, while LISA’s ‘LLOUD’ was announced just last week.
