Legendary hitmaker, visionary manager, and music architect Allan Mitchell Silonga, better known as “Daddy A,” returns to artist development with the signing of four up-and-coming OPM acts under IMAJIN and IVOS Productions.

With years of experience in the OPM industry and playing a key role in the evolution of modern Filipino R&B, soul, and alternative music, Daddy A looks into shaping the future of Philippine music.

In the ’90s, he founded Kindred Garden, known for their hit “Pangako,” and later formed one of the country’s earliest R&B groups, K24/7. Their sound built a cult following among underground music fans, international school students, and the Pinoy-American community returning to the Philippines.

In 2012, he formed the R&B quartet Daddy’s Home and joined X Factor Philippines, where they reached the Grand Finals and became one of the show’s most memorable vocal groups.

A breakthrough, and arguably his most iconic contribution to the modern OPM scene, came in 2014. Together with his son Blaster and his talent for playing the guitar, an assembly of a band is brewing. Eventually, Blaster was joined by Zild Benitez, Badjao de Castro, and Unique Silonga. As a four-piece, they would go on to become a force in the local music scene as IV OF SPADES, which is now celebrating its 12th year in the industry.

Going back to his roots, Daddy A, through IMAJIN and IVOS PRODUCTIONS, has officially signed four promising new artists ready to make a mark in today’s OPM landscape. As they say, this is only the beginning.

LEVII is a soulful R&B-pop artist and multi-instrumentalist signed under KDR Music House. Mentored by Daddy A since his high school days, he has grown into a gifted songwriter, keyboard player, and vocalist.

Another Daddy A discovery is DWARF, a singer-songwriter who was first discovered during a “Songwriters Night” event at Daddy’s A bar, IMAJIN: Arts & Music. His songwriting and vocal style caught Daddy A’s attention, and the two have stayed connected ever since and now also an artist signed under KDR Music House.

Hailing from Davao, JAE LAURENT is a rising R&B artist who first reached out to Daddy A and sent him demos in 2021. The timing wasn’t right then, which turned out to be a silver lining as he was able to embrace more of his musical identity and refine his artistry. Now signed under DIORAMA, he has new music on the way.

Last but not least is Zipporah (ZPRH), the daughter of Daddy A’s close friend Jehu of the legendary beatbox group Microphone Mechanics. Having inherited musical talent and beatboxing skills, ZPRH has evolved into a complete package as a singer, songwriter, performer, and producer.

With these four acts joining the roster, Daddy A is poised to contribute even further to today’s local music scene, guiding the next generation of artists to the forefront.

Looking ahead, more artists are expected to be announced soon under the growing movement of IMAJIN and IVOS PRODUCTIONS.
