As we’re fast approaching the fourth quarter of the year, Ariana Grande is already looking ahead to 2026. The “twilight zone” singer teased fans with a cryptic new video posted to social media.

The teaser, which draws inspiration from sci-fi films, features an automated voice narration: “A corrupt file has been found and corrected.” In its final seconds, the video cuts to four small screens and a woman’s hand before the messages “see you next year” and “announcement loading” flash on-screen.

The video could be a tie-in to Brighter Days Ahead, the short film Grande released in March alongside the deluxe version of eternal sunshine. In that film, Grande plays Peaches, an elderly, non-verbal woman whose memories of an ex-boyfriend have been erased. The woman in the teaser may well be Peaches, which hints at a continuation of the short film.

Two of the four screens in the teaser seem to feature Grande’s live performances: one shows a still from her eternal sunshine set, while another from her last tour in 2019. This has fueled speculation that a new tour could be among the announcements she is teasing for 2026.

Grande’s last world tour was in 2019, which is a lifetime in main pop girl concert terms, and having released two studio albums since then. But this affirms her statement back in July that she wouldn’t be stepping away from music.

In the meantime, she has focused on her acting career, taking on the role of Glinda in the two-part Wicked film adaptation, with more projects already on the horizon, such as the Meet the Parents sequel, Focker-In-Law, and the animated Dr. Seuss film adaptation of Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
