Rex Orange County Announces Sixth Album ‘Dream Fatigue,’ Drops New Single “Grandma Song” — Listen
The album marks his most collaborative project yet, following a protagonist who is tired of becoming different personas in the pursuit of a girl he dreams of winning over.

Rex Orange County has announced his upcoming sixth studio album, Dream Fatigue, set for release on November 6, 2026, alongside the album’s second single, “Grandma Song.”
The album marks a shift from what we’ve come to expect from the British singer, bringing his strengths into the spotlight while embracing the power of community. “To let people in is to let them take the thing out of you as well,” Rex says of how collaboration became an integral part of his current sound.
Co-executive produced by Mustafa and Dylan Wiggins (Rosalía, Justin Bieber), the album includes contributions from Turnstile’s Brendan Yates, Dev Hynes, Daniel Caesar, Mustafa, dexter in the newsagent, and Taylor Skye of Jockstrap.
Following “Indecision,” Rex’s recent collaboration with Daniel Caesar, the album’s second single, “Grandma Song,” showcases a more confident and direct songwriting style, packed with the emotional charm that Rex’s fans have come to love since the beginning of his career.
The song was first teased during Rex’s intimate fan shows across the UK, Ireland, and Southeast Asia, where he brought his music back to its most intimate setting.
Dream Fatigue was moving through Rex writing and working on the road, in places like New York, Egypt, Toronto, and Los Angeles. Most of the songs on the record were born on the guitar, “I want fans to experience the music in the same way it was made, on the move, just me & a guitar, in intimate settings,” Rex says.

In a Billboard Philippines interview in September, Rex shared that he’s especially excited about the upcoming record because of its more collaborative approach to making music, “because things are being said that I just wouldn’t have thought to say by myself,” he shared.
“The album follows a protagonist who adopts different personas in an attempt to win over the girl he loves, an idea reflected in playful song titles including “Hannah Montana,” “Iron Man,” and “Elvis,” ultimately giving it its name,” according to the press release.
“This guy is tired of dreaming and becoming all these people in the pursuit of that dream,” Rex explains.
