Maki, August Wahh, Angela Ken, And Ligaya Escueta To Represent The Philippines At SXSW Sydney 2025
The four Filipino artists serve as the country’s representatives this 2025, following in the footsteps of last year’s representatives, ena mori and Clara Benin.

Maki, August Wahh, Angela Ken, and Ligaya Escueta are heading over to Australia this October to represent the Philippines at SXSW Sydney 2025.
Neo-soul artist August Wahh’s inclusion was announced by the Sydney edition of the prestigious music, media, and technology conference last June 19, 2025, where she and 62 other artists were revealed to be joining the lineup of its music festival this year from October 13 to 19. Following this, on August 26, 2025, “Dilaw” pop hitmaker Maki, folk-pop singer-songwriter Angela Ken, and indie rock artist Ligaya Escueta were announced to also join the lineup of the event’s 2025 iteration. These four acts serve as the Philippines’ representatives this year, following in the footsteps of last year’s representatives, Clara Benin and ena mori.
These four Filipino artists are set to share the stage with the likes of Rashmeet Kaur (India), Vandelux (United States), Tenxi & Jemsii (Indonesia), The Thing (United States), blue diner (Australia), Holly Hebe (Australia), Munan (Australia), Yasmina Sadiki (Australia), and more.
