Miley Cyrus has just announced that the visual film Something Beautiful, accompanying her ninth studio album of the same name, will be released in theaters for one night only across North America on June 12 and the United Kingdom and international territories including the Philippines on June 27.

In collaboration with Sony Music Vision, Columbia Records, and Live Nation, Cyrus co-produced the film with XYZ Films and Panos Cosmatos (Mandy) and co-directed it with Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter.

Described as a “one-of-a-kind pop opera,” the film will feature 13 new original songs from the upcoming album and will have its world premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival on June 6. Additionally, in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar late last year, she described the visual album as inspired by Pink Floyd‘s influential 1979 album The Wall.

According to the “Angels Like You” singer, the overall project is a dream come true, describing it as a harmonious blend of fashion, film, and music. “My co-creators are all geniuses in their own right; from the masters of sound, Shawn Everett and Alan Meyerson, to one of cinema’s most unique directors, Panos Cosmatos, who served as a producer. Each collaborator has used their expertise to make this fantasy a reality.”

Leading up to the album’s release on May 30, Cyrus released the single “End of the World,” along with the tracks “Prelude,” the title track “Something Beautiful,” and “More to Lose,” marking her first new music since 2023’s Endless Summer Vacation.
