DAELUX have released their first-ever single, “Like That,” marking the arrival of Sony Music Philippines’ newest P-pop girl group.
Released on September 25, 2026, via Sony Music Philippines, the Davao-hailing seven-member group’s pre-debut track centers on the experience of having feelings for someone and wondering if it might be reciprocated. With its upbeat energy and playful lyrics, the song captures the mixed emotions when trying to read someone’s signals and overthinking every interaction.
“We were drawn to this theme because the feeling of liking someone and trying to figure out where you stand is something a lot of people can relate to,” DAELUX explains. “There’s excitement, but there’s also that uncertainty when you start overthinking little actions.”
However, instead of dwelling on frustration, “Like That” approaches the experience with optimism, encouraging listeners to be confident in expressing their genuine feelings despite the possibility of rejection.
The pre-debut single also provides a glimpse into the Filipina girl group’s early sonic identity, with the DAELUX members actively contributing their own ideas throughout the songwriting process. Produced by Pao Lofranco with British-Filipina artist AndreaH as a co-writer, the lighthearted track went through several revisions to ensure its final arrangement felt authentic to the group.
“Like That” marks DAELUX’s first release since partnering with Sony Music Philippines, allowing the girl group to bring their distinct P-pop brand to a wider audience.
