We Play Here is returning for the second year in a row.

On August 4, Warner Music Philippines announced the return of We Play Here — a special concert they initially held last April 27, 2023 in celebration of the music label’s 30th anniversary — in the form of a school tour this 2024.

Kicking the tour off in UP Diliman, Quezon City on August 23, the first show was initially set to be held at the UPFI Film Center. However, due to popular demand of a bigger venue, We Play Here announced on August 8 that the show will be moved to the open-air UP College of Science Amphitheater, with gates opening promptly at 3:00 PM.

In the initial announcement, it was revealed that We Play Here is set to become even bigger than its inaugural iteration, with its lineup set to feature such artists as Dilaw, Sugarcane, and PLAYERTWO — who also performed at last year’s We Play Here concert — as well as Arthur Miguel, Paul Pablo, Letters From June, Kahel, and more.

On August 7, We Play Here unveiled a special surprise as they announced the inclusion of two more artists on the school tour’s kick-off show lineup: SB19’s Stell and English singer-songwriter Griff.

Stell most recently released his debut EP Room and is also set to embark on a nationwide tour this month in support of it. Meanwhile, Griff is best known for her songs “Black Hole,” “Vertigo,” “Walk,” and more. Notably, she recently opened for Taylor Swift at one of the pop icon’s first shows at the Wembley Stadium in London for her Eras Tour last June 22, as well as serving as one of the opening acts for Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet US tour later this year. Her debut album Vertigo was released last July 12.

Last year’s We Play Here lineup included Dilaw, Sugarcane, PLAYERTWO, Leanne and Naara, JRLDM, Lola Amour, and Felip.

Tickets for We Play Here’s school tour in UP Diliman this August are priced at PHP 500 for Early Bird (SOLD OUT) and PHP 750 for Phase 1. Get your tickets here.
