Alternative-pop band Letters from June is the latest artist to sign with KDR Music House.
The band is composed of members Lourence Compuesto, Michelle Fajkovic, Arvy Perez, Sean Villa, Deign Porol, and Ken Lunas. According a press statement, the six-piece was formed in November 2022 after meeting at a school theater group. Their influences range from Ben&Ben, The 1975, I Belong to the Zoo, Lizzy McAlpine, Coldplay, The Juans, to Conan Gray.
Upon signing with KDR Music House, the band shared that they are “excited to share their music with a wider audience and are looking forward to achieving significant milestones with the support of the KDR Music House family.”
The recording deal was signed at the La Verdad Christian College in Caloocan last May 29. Letters from June also went live on TikTok on the same day to premiere their debut single, “Bituin” (Star). During the press conference, KDR Music House also shared that they are gearing up to stage the 13th installment of their Wish Date concert series via radio station Wish 107.5. It will take place at the Araneta Coliseum on June 30.
Letters from June’s “Bituin” is set to be the theme song of the upcoming Wish Date. The Wish Date series is a hybrid short film and live concert concept, where acts like Julie Ann San Jose, Cup of Joe, 6cyclemind, Arthur Miguel, and more perform alongside a short film produced by the company.
The band shared that “Bituin” is a song that “delves into themes of love and longing,” and listeners can expect a “compelling piece that reflects the emotional turmoil of unrequited love.” While no official release date has been announced yet, KDR Music House has uploaded a lyric video of the track via their Facebook page.
