Wasia Project Return With New Club-Inspired Single “Vogue” — Listen
The dance-floor-ready track is set to appear on the duo’s debut album, Nocturne.

Wasia Project, the musical duo consisting of siblings Will Gao and Olivia Hardy, release their brand-new single “Vogue” through AWAL and LaoLao Records.
The single follows the previously released singles “2515,” “Bleeding Gold,” and “Whale Call,” which will appear on their forthcoming debut album, Nocturne, out September 18. “Whale Call” appeared in the Netflix film Heartstopper Forever — a continuation of the television series Heartstopper, wherein Gao portrays the character Tao Xu.
“Vogue” is a euphoric body-talk anthem that showcases the duo embracing the club euphoria and chamber pop sounds — made for the dance floor and perfect for the late-night feels.
“There’s a sense of obsession running through it, where every room, moment & glance seems charged with possibility. It’s about embracing the exhilaration & inevitability of giving yourself over to a feeling that is all-consuming,” the duo shares in a press release.
Nocturne opens up a new chapter for the duo, which captures the voice of youth that flows in an immediate and reflective note. Moreover, the album walks through the post-COVID years and takes a look at distance, isolation, and a fractured connection present in their generation.
“Across 12 tracks, they transmute their classical foundations through the lens of club-adjacent dance music, cinematic piano-pop balladry, modern soul and atmospheric electronica, arriving at a sound that is at once deeply intimate and expansively cinematic,” says the press release.

Formed in 2019, Wasia Project take their mixed British and Chinese heritage as part of their musical identity. The duo released their debut EP, how can I pretend?, in 2022. It featured their breakout hit “ur so pretty.” They followed it up with their sophomore EP, Isotope, in 2024.
