TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan are heading to Canada.

On September 24, Monterde announced on his social media that he is set to tour Canada this coming October and November. Set to happen across three cities, he will be accompanied by Asia’s Soul Supreme and his better half KZ Tandingan as a special guest. “CANADA! [S]o excited to see you!” states Monterde in the announcement post.

The first show will be staged in Saskatoon on October 25, followed by back-to-back gigs in Winnipeg on November 1 and in Vancouver on November 2.

Tickets for both the Saskatoon and the Winnipeg shows are priced at CAD 115 for General Admission, CAD 160 for VIP, and CAD 220 for SVIP. Meanwhile, tickets for the Vancouver show range from around CAD 100-200 via Ticketmaster. Find out more about each show and their ticket perks here.

In an exclusive interview with Billboard Philippines, Monterde and Tandingan talked about the power of music and how it helps in establishing meaningful connections. Tandingan stated how “music transcends languages,” noting how even if people do not necessarily speak the same languages, music can still connect them. Meanwhile, Monterde talked of how much this power of music to connect people means to him since it is how he met Tandingan in the first place. “Buhay ko, buhay naminpatunay na music does really connect people (My life, our lives prove that music really does connect people),” he stated.

Just last month, the couple released a duet version of Monterde viral hit “Palagi.” Prior to this, the song had been steadily climbing Billboard Philippines’ music charts, significantly attaining the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 during the week of September 14, 2024.

“It’s actually a song that I dedicated to [KZ], of course. It’s one of those songs that you don’t really think about writing, but you just write.” Monterde stated in the aforementioned interview when talking about the heartfelt track, before adding “It’s puso talaga. It’s very straightforward. Parang naging sobrang, sobrang open ako na I don’t really care if people might think this is cheesy or whatever. (It’s really just heart. It’s very straightforward. I became so open that I don’t really care if people might think this is cheesy or whatever.)”
