Regine Velasquez-Alcasid has just announced a new album to be released via Star Music.
Aptly titled Reginified, the forthcoming record has been teased to be a collection of covers reimagined by the renowned pop icon. set to be released on November 22, 2024. The first glimpse from the record is a ‘Reginified’ version of Paramore‘s “The Only Exception,” which will drop this Friday (July 26, 2024).
Velasquez-Alcasid first performed her unique rendition of the popular track during her Regine Rocks concert series and also at Billboard Philippines‘ inaugural Women In Music awards earlier this March. Given the warm reception to her astounding performance of the song, it’s no surprise as to why the track is getting a mass release on digital and streaming platforms.
To build up the anticipation for Reginified, Star Music has released a scheduler for the album’s entire promotional run. Though the scheduler features a number of clues for fans to decode, it mentions that the album will have five singles and music videos released prior to the release of the record later this year. The full tracklist reveal and pre-orders for the album are set to coincide with one another on September 15 to 16, while an upcoming Reginified concert has also been teased for 2025.
