Press Hit Play and Yes My Love have joined forces for an emotional cover of a classic.
Released on August 5, the collaboration between members of the two P-pop boy groups sees them take on Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors.” This serves as a special project from PROD AXIA’s PROD AXIA PRESENTS (PAP) as it brings together Brian and Josh of Yes My Love (YML) and JP and SEV of Press Hit Play (PHP).
“Prod Axia jumpstarted this collaboration. With their efforts, this collab was put into fruition. So, huge shoutout to their team for this initiative,” shared Brian and Josh in a press statement when asked how the collaboration happened.
“We were so excited knowing that we will be collaborating with PHP. They have some of the strongest vocals in PPOP, and their songs are some of the catchiest in the industry,” the two elaborated. “At the same time, there was a bit of nervousness because their vocals are quite intimidating, but nonetheless, they were very nice and easy to work with.”
Meanwhile, JP expressed his delight upon finding out about the project, saying, “Actually, I didn’t expect the collab, but when I found out who we would be working with, I got excited.” SEV added to this by sharing, “I was very happy because this was our first time collaborating with another boy group, and the idea of singing another song with other artists just excites me.”
“They are some of the nicest and most talented people we have worked with,” shares Brian and Josh on working with the members of Press Hit Play, describing them as “super chill yet efficient.” On the other hand, SEV shares how much he enjoyed the experience of working with the Yes My Love members, saying, “We got to know them, their stories, how things work on their end, and it was like making new friends and creating new connections.”
“We want smiles to be radiated through this content,” states Brian and Josh when asked about their desired impact from the collaboration. “If we’re able to at least make one person smile, then I think we’ve done our part already.” Adding to this, JP notes how he wants viewers to see the talent that P-pop has to offer wanted the audience to recognize the talent within PPOP. “Gusto ko ma-feel ng audience kung ga’no kagaling ang P-pop. Gusto ko makita nila na pwede kami magka-work lahat at may magagawa kaming magandang projects together. Filipino pride ‘to.”
