Buruguduystunstugudunstuy was first released in the year 1997 and was subsequently pressed on both CD and cassette formats within the same year. The album spawned the hit singles “Harana,” “Silvertoes,” and “Please Don’t Touch My Birdy” — which have continued to find new life in this day and age. This marks the second reissue of Parokya Ni Edgar’s albums on the physical medium, following the release of Khangkhungkherrnitz on vinyl for the first time in 2022.

Both albums were reissued by Universal Records Philippines, with Buruguduystunstugudunstuy set to be available for purchase beginning July 5, 2024.

In related news, the Parokya Ni Edgar musical of the same name concluded its run last June 23. The show explored the rock band’s extensive discography, woven across an interconnected narrative that celebrates self-acceptance and standing up against the harsh realities of life. It starred Tex Ordoñez-De Leon, Natasha Cabrera, Marynor Madamesila, and Felicity Kyle Napuli as the four lead performers –– whom Billboard Philippines commended as an “impressive [display of] acting and singing talent [that allow] the ensemble cast [to]shine, particularly Kyle Napuli’s powerful performance.”

The band released their tenth studio album, Borbolen, last 2021 which birthed the hit tracks “Rosas,” “Wag Ka Na,” and “Smile.”
