Olivia Rodrigo has just announced the forthcoming release of a deluxe edition to her sophomore album GUTS, which will be titled GUTS: SPILLED.
The announcement was shared by Rodrigo while performing “Get Him Back!” during the first show of her two-night stint in Chicago, USA for the ongoing GUTS: World Tour, wherein the singer held up a sign that said “Guts Deluxe Album” during the last song of her encore.
The deluxe record will feature five new tracks, including the four bonus tracks “Obsessed”, “Scared of my Guitar”, “Stranger”, and “Girl I’ve Always Been” which were previously exclusive to vinyl media formats, alongside a brand-new additional track titled “So American” –– all of which will be released on digital platforms this March 22 (Friday).
The 21-year-old pop star released GUTS last September 2023 to critical and commercial acclaim, earning several achievements such as a No. 1 Spot on both Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart for the lead single “Vampire”, and a No. 1 spot on Billboard 200 for the album itself. While the record and several of its tracks were nominated for various Grammy categories earlier this year (including Album of the Year and Record of the Year), Rodrigo unfortunately went home empty-handed.
Rodrigo’s ongoing GUTS: World Tour commenced its run last February 23, 2024, in California, and will extend its run across North America all the way to Europe until August 17, 2024. While the singer has yet to reveal any official dates for the Asia and Australia leg of her tour, many Filipino fans remain hopeful of the chances that Rodrigo will be making her way to the Philippines for the first-time-ever as part of the ongoing tour.
