“driver’s license” singer Olivia Rodrigo revealed in a podcast episode with The Hollywood Reporter that she is “excited to go to the Philippines” sometime in 2024.

On her episode on the Awards Chatter, The Hollywood Reporter asked Rodrigo what she is most excited about in her upcoming tour celebrating her latest album, GUTS. In response, the singer shared, “I’m so stoked. I think it’s going to be so much fun to play those kinds of rock songs in an arena too. I’m so excited to feel that energy. I’m so excited to go places that I haven’t been before. I’m really excited to go to the Philippines — I’ve never been — so that’s going to be fun. And I love my band. I have an all-girl band, and they’re so wonderful and such great musicians. It’s going to be fun.”

In a review of the album by Billboard Philippines, we wrote, “With GUTS, she dabbles towards an energetic pop-punk sound that she’s completely embraced as her own––which in itself is a far cry from the more somber ballads presented on her critically acclaimed debut, Sour, playing around with new sonic elements. Along with that versatility comes a (righteous) sense of anger towards the hardships of growing up and finding her place in this world, and Rodrigo is unashamed to show it––no matter what anyone has to say about it.”
