The Billboard Music Awards are almost here.
Beyond just awarding some of the biggest and most talented names in music, the highly anticipated awards ceremony also features an a lineup of performers ready to take on the stage.
This year, the Billboard Music Awards will feature performances from renowned singer and “Songbird Supreme” Mariah Carey, K-pop powerhouses NewJeans and Stray Kids, country music act Morgan Wallen, American pop singer Bebe Rexha and revered DJ David Guetta, and Latin singer Peso Pluma. More additions to the lineup will be announced daily via Billboard Music Awards’ official social media channels.
Billboard Music Awards 2023 will be happening on November 19, presented by Marriot Bonvoy.
This year, the awards included nine new categories, four of which further recognize K-pop. These new categories include: Top Global K-pop artist, Top K-pop Tour, Top K-pop Album, Top Global K-pop Song, Top Afrobeats Artist, Top Afrobeats Song, Top Hot 100 Songwriter and Top Hot 100 Producer.
Taylor Swift leads this year’s nominations list with 20 nominations, followed by Morgan Wallen, SZA, and The Weeknd. Also, nominated are the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, NewJeans, Bruno Mars, Steve Lacy, Jimin and SUGA of BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, Drake, and more.
