Moira Dela Torre and Parokya Ni Edgar are putting a playful spin on heartbreak in the music video for their collaborative single, “San Ka Na.”
Released on September 16, 2026, the music video follows the 32-year-old singer-songwriter as she searches for someone who feels increasingly distant, taking the song’s theme of longing in an unexpectedly lighthearted direction. Joining her in the track and visual are the Philippines’ musical court jesters, Parokya Ni Edgar.
Instead of presenting heartbreak through a purely emotional narrative, the music video turns Dela Torre’s search into a series of unexpected situations — being cramped altogether in a bathroom, moving up and down escalators, washing clothes in a laundry shop, and eventually, in full band gear setup at the back of a pickup truck. Featuring surprise appearances, social media personality Mimiyuuuh makes an unexpected laundry cameo while “What if I miss you for the rest of my life?” singer Janine Berdin appears to simply flush a toilet.
One of the music video’s most unusual moments comes when Dela Torre appears in an astronaut suit while eating silog with the iconic rock band at a karinderaya. Embracing the limitations they faced during production, they stuck with the creative direction of Dela Torre seeming to be everywhere except where she is actually supposed to be, in avoidance of her reality.
Beyond the music video itself, the “Tagpuan” hitmaker also highlighted her time with Parokya Ni Edgar as one of the collaboration’s memorable experiences. She recalled riding around Araneta City in the pickup truck while listening to the band’s stories about their beginnings and long-standing friendship.
Beginning as a casual jam between Dela Torre and Parokya Ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, the two initially worked on another song before trying “San Ka Na,” which Miranda eventually wrote a verse for. The rest of Parokya — Gab Chee Kee, Andrew Panaligan, Darius Semaña, and Paolo Bernaldo — later contributed the instrumental that became part of the finished track.
