“Waiting Here Sa Pila” is officially on streaming.

In celebration of their Philippine tour, Filipino funk-pop Lola Amour joined forces with actor and comedian Michael V to officially release the latter’s parody of the chart-topping “Raining In Manila”. The track comes as part of the band’s Raining In Manila (Tour Edition) EP, which features alternative versions and remixes of “Raining In Manila” including a remix by DJ Young and a live recording from the band’s Live at Spryta session.

Michael V comes as one of Lola Amour’s guest performers at the final stop of their Raining In Manila Tour last Sunday (November 26) in Quezon City’s Parklinks, alongside the likes of Jikamarie, Dilaw, Of Mercury, and Arthur Miguel. This comes as the two acts’ latest collaboration, after their joint performance on the Filipino comedy variety show, Bubble Gang earlier this October.

Michael V initially performed “Waiting Here Sa Pila” in an episode of the Filipino comedy variety show, Bubble Gang last September. The song, which pokes fun at long lines at coffee shops, sees the comedian take on the character of ‘Lolo Kanor’.

Lola Amour’s Raining In Manila Tour initially kicked off in August and has since seen stops all across the country, including Baguio, La Union, Cebu, Cagayan De Oro, and of course, Manila. The tour comes in celebration of the viral success of the “Raining In Manila”.

In an interview with Billboard Philippines, the band’s frontman Pio Dumayas shares, ” “[The rain] gave us [the] opportunity to get so many memes out there so people could instantly relate even if they didn’t understand the song yet… People started sharing their stories or telling us that they related to the meaning of the song. It’s a mix of being prepared and luck.”
