BLACKPINK‘s LISA has just announced her new single, titled “Moonlit Floor.”
The beloved K-pop idol first debuted the track during her set for the Global Citizen Music Festival 2024 which took place in New York City over the weekend. Alongside her chart-topping hits “Rockstar,” “New Woman” featuring Rosaliá, “Lalisa,” and “Money,” the upcoming single pleasantly surprised audiences in the crowd as she performed the new track during the latter part of her set for the festival.
Following her live performance of the song, LISA officially announced the track’s forthcoming release on her social media accounts –– stating that it’s slated to drop this October 8, 2024 at 8 PM (EST)/8 AM (PHST).
From what avid fans and listeners have already unpacked from her live performance of the track, it serves as a groovy and electronic-tinged ballad, with fans also quick to note that the song samples the iconic “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer. Prior to the upcoming track’s release, LISA had a string of single releases under RCA Records and her label LLOUD Inc. –– which includes “Rockstar” and “New Woman” featuring Rosaliá.
In other news, LISA is set to take the stage at this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show alongside musical icon Cher and South African singer Tyla, following a six-year hiatus for the formerly annual event. She is also set to appear in the upcoming season of The White Lotus as part of her first-ever acting debut, as the series is scheduled to take place in her home country of Thailand.
