Coldplay has unveiled the opening acts for their Southeast Asia tour. This includes Filipino R&B singer Jikamarie, who will be supporting the British pop band’s sold-out Philippine concerts at the Philippine Arena on January 19 and 20.

The rest of Coldplay’s opening lineup also include Thai singer-songwriter Valentina Ploy who will be supporting their Bangkok concerts. While Singaporean acts RRiley and Jasmine Sokko, as well as Indonesian pop singer Jinan Laetitia will be performing across the band’s six-day residency at the Singapore National Stadium.

Coldplay will be embarking on the sold-out Southeast Asia leg of the Music of the Spheres tour this January, starting with the Philippines followed by Singapore and Thailand. The tour initially took off in March 2022 and has since seen stops across the Americas and Europe.

The Music of the Spheres tour comes in support of the band’s 8th album of the same name, which is themed around the idea of music taking various forms across the universe. The concept is brought to life throughout the concert, with four parts narrating a journey into the unknown and your return home with new lessons learned.

Jikamarie most recently her single “lito”, following “HINAHANAP-HANAP” and “Bulong” — the latter of which is a reimagined version of Kitchie Nadal’s 2004 hit and come as part of Warner Music Philippines‘ 30th anniversary celebrations.
