James Alyn And PREP Join Forces For New Single “Don’t Worry” – Listen
The collaboration track came from a jam session between the Thai singer-songwriter and the English indiepop hitmakers after a show together in Taipei last May 2024.

James Alyn has just teamed up with PREP for a brand new single, entitled “Don’t Worry.”
Released on December 11, 2025 (Thursday), the collaboration track between the Thai singer-songwriterSinger-SongwriterA musician who writes and performs their own songs, typically accompanied by guitar or piano. Valued for personal storytelling and authenticity, singer-songwriters form a major part of the Filipino musicGo to Singer-Songwriter Glossary and former HYBS member and the English indie pop band is a combination of “PREP’s smooth blend of soft pop, funk, and soul” with Alyn’s “warm, emotional tone.” With this, what resulted is a track with “a sound that feels both intimate and timeless, offering comfort and hope.”
According to a press statement, “Don’t Worry” was inspirated by “a touching encounter” that Alyn had with a fan. “She told me my songs helped
her through her darkest times. I wrote this song hoping it could be a beacon of light for others who need it,” says the “Show Me Your Love” hitmaker. “I’m really thankful to my fans for being by my side through thick and thin. Just like the line ‘Even in another life, you can find me by your side’, I’ll always be there for them too.”
Speaking of how the collaboration came to be, Alyn recalls that it came from the night he opened for PREP’s latest show in Taipei, which happened last May 5, 2024. “After the show, I and the guys from PREP went to Kuo from Sunset Rollercoaster’s house and jammed for a bit, not intending to make anything of it. A year later, I found a voice memo from that night and built the rest of the song from there.”
Along with this, James Alyn and PREP are set to premiere the music videoMusic VideoA short film that accompanies a song, combining performance, storytelling, and visual style to promote the music. For James Alyn, “Don’t Worry” follows the release of his solo debut album 2019 and the live album Green Department (Live Session), which came out on July 2, 2025 and November 5, 2025 respectively.
Meanwhile, for PREP, the new single follows the release of the deluxe edition of their sophomore album The Programme. Released on August 1, 2025, the expanded edition of the record featured stripped down renditions of their song “Infinity Pool” and their cover of Harry Styles “As It Was,” as well as a live recordings of their songs “Call It” (recorded in Shenzhen) and “Years Don’t Live” (recorded in Manila).
