IU just surprised her Filipino fans with a special treat.
The Korean singer-songwriter took over the Philippine Arena today (June 1) for the Philippine stop of the H.E.R tour. As part of her highly anticipated return to the country, she gifted her Filipino fans with a special performance of SunKissed Lola‘s “Pasilyo.” Washing over the arena with her soulful voice, IU enchanted the crowd with her sweet rendition of the viral love song, even prompting the entire venue to sing with her.
Manila comes as one of the Asia stops of IU’s grand H.E.R tour, which will also see concerts in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. The tour follows the release of her latest EP, The Winning which features several music videos starring the likes of V of BTS and DPR IAN.
“Pasilyo”, which was initially released in 2022, comes as indie pop band SunKissed Lola’s most popular song to date. A sweet love song that talks about being someone’s certainty, the track was the Philippines’ most streamed song on Spotify of 2023.
