Filipina rapper Illest Morena drops her latest single and music video, “crossfade,” marking her second solo music release of the year.
Released on September 6, 2026, the track is part of the hip-hop artist’s continued rollout toward her forthcoming sophomore album. Its release coincides with the young rapper’s celebration of her 25th birthday and follows her confidence-driven single, “i dont wanna wake you up,” which was released on June 12, 2026. It later received a remix featuring Drag Race Philippines Season 2 finalist Arizona Brandy on August 14, 2026.
“crossfade” is a hip-hop track composed and written by Illest Morena, with Luvless serving as producer. Mixing was handled by Radicxl, while Jan Aries Fuertez is credited as recording engineer.
Accompanying the release, its official music video is directed by Uncle G and executive produced by B.O.K., with creative direction by Illest Morena and editing and color grading by Toto. The visualizer captures Illest Morena amid the hazy, blurred energy of a house party edited with dizzying flashes of color and grain.
