If you haven’t witnessed the excellence of Dilaw live, then here’s the perfect chance to hear them as clear as day.

Dilaw’s performance at Teatrino Promenade last October 3 was an intimate concert that not many got to experience –– but it’s now available for all to experience as a live album titled Di Ilaw Sa Gabing Mapanglaw (Live At Teatrino).

The record includes stripped-down renditions of some of their biggest hits, including that of “Walwal“, “Janice“, “Uhaw“, and “Orasa.” Lead singer Dilaw Obero’s raw and unfiltered vocals are at full force here, even evoking elements of the ska genre with his vocal delivery. All of that is lovingly complimented by bandmates Vie Dela Rosa (rhythm guitar), Wayne Dela Rosa (bass), Leon Altomonte (lead guitar), En Altonmonte (keyboard), and Tobi Samson (drums) who surround Obero’s voice with such warm and intricate melodies for the duration of their performance. Accompanied by a string quartet, each track on the live album is different from their original renditions in all the best ways –– making the listening experience quite fresh as well.

The release of the live album comes after the news that Dilaw had the second-most played track in the Philippines, according to Spotify Wrapped’s global analysis. “Uhaw (Tayong Lahat)” had the honor of reaching more than 120 million streams on the platform, in addition to winning numerous trophies at the 2023 Awit Awards for the categories Record of the Year, Song Of The Year, Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist, and Best Alternative Recording earlier last November.
